About the Role
StavCard is the next product line at Stavtar and a meaningful new revenue stream for the company. Alts firms have spend coding and allocation complexity that modern card products don’t address. We’re building the card product that does, designed to run either standalone or fully connected to StavPay.
You’ll own StavCard end to end. Vision, strategy, roadmap, customer experience, platform, and economics. You’ll be the StavCard person at Stavtar, not one of many on a large card team.
What You’ll Do
• Lead the expansion of StavCard across vendor payments, employee T&E, virtual and physical issuance, and reimbursements.
• Spend deep time with the CFOs, controllers, and AP teams at our clients to ground the roadmap in what they actually need.
• Own the platform: data model, controls, KYB, dispute and chargeback workflows, and the integrations with StavPay.
• Shape the unit economics: interchange, revenue share, and how the commercial model evolves over time.
• Partner with our network and processor relationships on roadmap and capabilities.
• Work cross-functionally across the entire company. Ship like a founding team.
What We’re Looking For
• You’ve built a card product end to end. Real ownership on issuing, processing, or commercial card programs at a modern issuing platform or a card-issuing bank directly.
• You know the card stack at production depth. Interchange, MCCs, KYB, authorization, capture, settlement, scheme rules, disputes, chargebacks. You’ve debugged at every layer, not just spec’d it.
• Product taste. You can spot the difference between great and good in 30 seconds, and you don’t ship anything you wouldn’t proudly demo.
• You ship by building, not speccing. You hand engineering a working prototype before a five-page PRD.
• AI is part of how you work. You use it daily for writing, analysis, prototyping, and research. You have a real point of view on where AI creates customer value inside a card product and where it’s just noise.
• You write like a craft. Your docs change how people think, not just what they do.
• Customer-grounded. You’d rather sit with a user for an hour than read a survey for a week.
• Elite judgment. You make the right call under uncertainty. You know what to ship, what to defer, and what to kill.
• Founder energy. You own outcomes end to end. You set the agenda. You don’t wait for direction.
