Job Summary:

We are seeking a Release Manager who will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing software releases across teams. This role requires a strong understanding of release processes, the ability to analyze QA-raised tasks and bugs, and sufficient technical knowledge to assign work to the right developers and ensure timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own and manage the end-to-end software release lifecycle.

• Plan, track, and coordinate releases across multiple development teams.

• Review, analyze, and triage tasks and defects raised by the QA team.

• Assign tasks and bugs to the appropriate developers based on technical understanding and workload.

• Act as a single point of contact for release-related communication.

• Ensure all release criteria, quality checks, and dependencies are met before deployment.

• Monitor release progress, identify risks or blockers, and take corrective actions.

• Coordinate with QA for testing cycles, defect validation, and release sign-off.

• Maintain release documentation, status reports, and release notes.

• Ensure adherence to defined release processes and best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 10+ years of strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and release management processes.

• Ability to understand and analyze technical tasks and defects.

• Experience working closely with QA and development teams.

• Good technical knowledge of application architecture, APIs, and databases.

• Excellent communication and coordination skills.

• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple releases simultaneously.

 Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

• Experience with issue tracking and release management tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jira).

• Familiarity with deployment processes.
